Block: To library to check out new books, then SSR. Continue with suspense story web. Assignment: Come up with 20 ideas of things that would cause suspense and put it on your web. It is homework if not completed in class. (Examples: creaking doors, lights suddenly go out, home alone - storm, etc.)

Enrichment: Today we will be working with a word processing program to prepare them for typing up essays, reports etc. We will be reviewing: centering titles, changing fonts, changing size of fonts, indenting using the tab key, moving words from one line to another, and inserting words into what you have typed. For some kids this will be new, and for others it will just be review. The rest of the period will be practicing these skills.

Science: Group one will be updating their science notebooks with reflections on what worked or did not work on the Identifying Mystery Substance lab. They will note any steps they forgot, and whether they could identify the substance, and what proof do they think they have as to the identification the substance. They will also update their table of contents page. Group 2 will be continuing the lab.

Cartooning: Today they will use the drawingcoach.com program to draw two animal characters of their choice. If they finish this, they may either continue working on cartoon strip #3 or coloring their animal drawings.
