Block: SSR, then optional reading log. Work on completion of suspense story first draft - due today. If late, grade will drop. Demonstration of revision. Self revision must be done first before anyone else reads your story. Make improvements to story - no erasing. Cross out neatly. Grade is based on YOUR improvements to story. (Replace "said" with whispered, shouted, etc. - cross out stuff you don't want, add new and improved story parts, etc.) When self revision completed initial in the color you used at the top of the page. Then have a friend do a peer revision in a different color. When complete, they initial in their color at the top of the page. Then copy everything over neatly, double-spaced as a second draft.

Enrichment: Find 2 pictures in the book you are interested in. Explain to class why you chose that picture, and read the heading and art particulars. Understand how art is described and why it is written up in the way it is in the book.

Science: Zip lock bag reaction lab. Make T-chart to compare reaction information. Continue tomorrow.

Cartooning: Two teams present their power point presentations on a famous cartoonist. The class must critique the presentations.
