Reading/Writing: SSR. Assemble new packets for history reports to be part of their World's Fair presentations. Choose countries for reports and discuss note taking. Go to library to check out
books on their countries.
Science: Pass out and discuss moon charts. Homework every day for next 30 days - go outside and look at the moon if not overclouded. Draw what you see on your moon chart the next day.
Discuss what kids know about the moon already. Read myths about the moon.
History: Continue packet 34. Read 34.4 and complete worksheet with columns for section 34.4. Complete next colored section of map showing Roman expansion.
Cartooning: Prepare paper for notetaking on six areas: Early history including pre-college education/family life, formal education - including college or technical school, names of any cartoon strips which will include a picture of their strip or character(s), Awards they have received for cartooning, a miscellaneous category (required) for interesting facts about their author, and a bibliography for all information used (must use at least 2-3 sources.)
