Block: Students were to have read to p. 104 by the week before Ft. Flagler. Today we took the reading test, set 4 questions on HOHH. They were due today. Many students are missing question sets because they have not kept up on their reading.

Enrichment: Keyboarding for group 1, set wpm goals and chart results. Continue warm/cool color pictures for group 2 as the lab had been in use by another class.

Science: Read "Decompression Sickness" about nitrogen saturation of the blood, and "Sour Power" about citric acid. They then wrote in their science journals on page eight, the answer to these 2 questions: 1. How do the articles you read relate to what we have been studying in our labs? 2. As they examined the citric acid crystals formed by their saturated solutions, they needed to draw and label a diagram showing a single crystal, and also a diagram of what the evaporation tray looked like.

Cartooning: We went to the library computer lab and used the drawingcoach.com website to draw dragons and elephants. It is expected that students ability to draw will improve with practice, and it is also expected that some of the characters they learn to draw will find their way into their cartoons at some point.

NOTE: THE LAST DAY TO TURN IN WORK FOR THIS FIRST QUARTER WILL BE OCTOBER 30. THIS INCLUDES AR POINTS FOR READING.
