Block: SSR on House on Hackman's Hill. Remember, you need to be to page 104 when you return to school after camp. NO EXCUSES. Also, far too many kids are coming unprepared to class and are receiving tardies because they don't have their books, agendas, pencils, etc. We also discussed different types of proper nouns and assigned "What a Capital Idea" worksheet, due today.

Enrichment: Today we discussed what they needed to bring to Fort Flagler on Monday. Remember all signed permission slips are due by tomorrow! Parent signatures must be witnessed by someone outside of the immediate family. Two packages of cookies are needed Monday (no nuts) and everything must be labeled with student's names (sleeping bags, pillows, clothes, etc.)

Science: Today we used the question "How much citric acid will it take to saturate 50 ml of
water?" for our lab. We updated page 7 in our science notebooks with lab information. We also poured some of the citric acid solution in evaporation trays to make crystals. We will examine them when we return from camp.

Cartooning: We critiqued 2 more student cartoon strips. Most students need to make the theme of their strip clearer. We then worked on strip #2 which is due by next Wednesday.
As of today students will be graded daily on their participation in class (posted with a weekly total.)
