Reading: SSR, read "War of the Worlds" in lit book p. 835-840.

Writing: DOL, if time, discuss and begin compare/contrast assignment.

Science: Use booklets p. 36-37 to complete worksheet p. 19 on time zones from yesterday. Discuss concept of "local noon" and practice finding it, given sunrise/sunset times.

History: Begin new packet on Rome. Begin oral reading and discussion.

Cartooning: Present completed cartoons. Students will be required to complete evaluation form for each cartoon presented. Practice giving positive feedback to cartoonists.
